Israel massacres seven families in round-the-clock Gaza bombings
A British doctor who returned from Gaza testified that 'Drones would come down and pick off children'
The Israeli army has committed seven massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, resulting in the killing of 47 civilians and the injury of 182 others, WAFA news agency reported on 13 November, citing medical sources.
In one massacre on Wednesday, at least 10 Palestinians, including children, were killed in an Israeli air attack on a house in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to Al Jazeera.
The Qatari-based channel added that at least two people were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza City's Shujaiya.
Israeli forces also bombed a family home, killing eight people, in the so-called safe humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi on the southern Gaza coast near Khan Yunis on Wednesday.
Al Jazeera cited civil defense teams saying there were dozens of Palestinians in the house at the time of the bombing and that several are still trapped under the rubble.
It was the second air strike that took place in Al-Mawasi today. Israeli forces had also bombed a tent there earlier.
Israel's killings come one day after British surgeon Nizam Mamode, who recently returned from working at a hospital in Gaza, said he treated children “day after day after day“ who had been deliberately shot by Israeli drones following bomb attacks.
In testimony to British MPs on Tuesday, Mamode said that at least once or twice daily, there were "mass casualty incidents," in which 10 to 20 civilians – the majority children – were killed.
“Drones would come down and pick off civilians, children,” Mamode told members of the International Development Committee in a hearing addressing the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
“This is not an occasional thing. This was day after day after day operating on children who would say, 'I was lying on the ground after a bomb dropped, and this quadcopter came down and hovered over me and shot me.'"
